Brady's Birth Story
BRADY MONROE WILSON CASS
On October 16th at 5:18pm Brady joined our world. Here is his story.
On this day at 1:00pm Dr. Jadi broke my water. Immediately he offered me an epidural. I took the drugs with an open back. I hadn't felt any pain as of yet, but I didn't want to either. Then I was given Petocin (sp?) to bring on contractions. I started to dialate quickly. At 5:00pm I was fully dialated. I pushed maybe 7 times and Brady was born at 5:18pm. I experienced no pain! Brady made my pregnancy hard, but his birth was awesome! The emotions that run through your body when the little angel is put on your chest are impossible to describe! Brady cried immediately and looked at me just minutes after birth. The nurses left him on me for about 20 minutes before weighing him and checking him out. I had the best birth experience that any mother could wish for. Brennan's mom, my mom, and Brennan were in the delivery room helping me push.

Bring on the Labour!
THE NIGHT BEFORE...
At the Dr. today we decided it was time for Brady to come. Walking around dialated 3-4cm with no cervical stitch was crazy... Brady still did not come. So much for the worry early on and all the bed rest. The Dr. agreed to break my water on the next day, October16, 2008 at 8am. Mom jumped on a plane and arrived only 5 hours later. Here we are... the election just happened to be in the background...pretty cool!
They say rocking on the exercise ball brings on labour... hmmm.

Canadian Thanksgiving- 38 weeks pregnant
Canadian Thanksgiving
Trying to walk into this labor 'thing'
Brent, Kathy, Brennan, and I went on a LONG walk on Thanksgiving. The change in color of the trees was amazing. This was a beautiful fall day. The temperature was 70 degrees. We were very lucky to get some warm weather. This is quite different than what we see in Florida. On this day I was exactly 38 weeks pregnant. Just waiitng for Little Brady to join us.
