HAPPY MOM + HAPPY BABY = HAPPY PREGNANCY
The ultra sound for this month was on June 12, 2008. This was the BIG 21 week ultra sound where they usually tell you the gender (which we already knew) and they do all the baby measurements. All the results came back great except one thing... PLACENTA PREVIA. Placenta Previa is when a portion or all of the placenta is covering the opening of the cervix where the baby exits. This can be a problem as sometimes women can start bleeding due to physical activity or for no reason. As well, later in pregnancy, if the placentA is still covering the cervix, a cesarean section is required. My doctor expects the placenta to move up to its proper position (under my ribs) by the 30th week or early. I have been convinced that this is nothing to be worried about and 90% of the time the placenta moves as the baby grows and moves.
